We are the county of Warwickshire's Scouts official campsite. The Alfrey Activity Centre Broadwater is situated in the heart of the country, close to the M42 and A45. The site although small in size offers a large range of activities and can accommodate anything from Patrol camps up to District sized events. The site boasts many features and is always being improved to provide you with the best facilities and most enjoyable visit possible.

The site is 6 acres consists of open fields, buildings and a small section of woodland. For those who can be quiet, there is ample opportunity for photographs and nature study.

The deer who use to roam the site are now kept away since a fence was erected but for those of you who are quiet and patient they can still be seen close to the site.

Ardnavally Outdoor Activity Centre was founded in 1971 and since then has proven very popular with various different organisations such as local companies, schools, youth organisations, Scouts and Guides. The site is located in the leafy suburbs of Belfast within easy reach of local airports and ferry terminals.

The site covers approximately 10 acres, has two multipurpose buildings and numerous campsites located in a well established woodland, giving campers a secluded experience. It is ideal for both weekend and large camps with plenty of space available to cater for every need. There is also a separate block available with both male, female and leaders’ showers and toilets.

Every year we have had visitors from many countries including Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, UK and the USA.

Our Avery Hill Activity Centre is located in New Eltham which is in London Borough of Greenwich, South East London (SE9).

Avondyke is Clyde Region's Scout training centre. It is situated just outside Stonehouse in the heart of South Lanarkshire. The Centre boasts 2.5 acres of perfect camping ground, external water supply, fire areas and inside sleeping accommodation. The centrally heated, indoor sleeping accommodation and the campsite makes Avondyke the perfect centre for days visits, whole Group camps and Pack Holidays as well as being a good base for training and traditional Scout activities. Avondyke extends a warm welcome to a wide number of organisations including Scouts, Girlguiding UK, Boys Brigade, Sunday Schools and other youth groups.

Barnswood Scout Camp site is set in the Staffordshire Moorlands, just outside of Cheshire and is the District scout camp site for Macclesfield and Congleton Scouts, Barnswood is open to all Scouting, Guiding and Youth groups for camps of all sizes.

Barnswood Scout Camp Site is 63 acres in size and consists of mixed woodland with 22 open grassed camping sites and a selection of buildings.

In addition to the camping Barnswood offers 4 buildings which are for hire to groups.

Barnswood also has a selection of activity areas such as our Low Ropes course and our Professional Orienteering Course.

Barnswood has fantastic on-site facilities with 2 camp fire circles - one under cover, altar fires available for open fires, also three toilet blocks on site 2 of which have male and female hot shower facilities.

The hot showers are fantastic especially if you've taken advantage of Rudyard Lake and the water activities it can offer which Barnswood overlooks.

Barnswood is in an ideal location for many off-site activities. It's ideal for hiking groups as it's surrounded by some of the best walks that Staffordshire and Cheshire have to offer. The roaches is only down the road which is a fantastic for outdoor climbing and bouldering.

For those that want to go to Alton Towers, Barnswood is only a short journey away.

The campsite is situated on Bexon Lane which is approximately 3 miles from the town centre. It is a greenfield site with space for around 200 campers.

The Campsite has a large building situated near the entrance with male and female toilets and showers.

The building also contains a fully equipped kitchen and a large meeting hall.

The campsite has a dedicated campfire area that is large enough to fit all campers and additional visitors.

The Centre while run by the Scouts, is open to all recognized youth groups from both the voluntary and statutory sectors. It is well used by school and college groups as well as young people from all parts of Europe and further afield.

Bonaly is a 26 acre site to the south of Edinburgh at the foot of the Pentland Hills. Situated near Colinton, with easy access from the City of Edinburgh Bypass and only 8km from the city centre. Bonaly Outdoor Centre is an ideal base for a visit to Edinburgh or as a stopping place when visiting Scotland. The site has both indoor accommodation and camping facilities. Many activities are available both on-site and offsite. From the slopes above the site there is a magnificent panoramic view across Edinburgh to the Firth of Forth and beyond

Bowley Scout Camp and Activity Centre is situated at the gateway to the North Ribble Valley and Pennine Moors. It is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, Fylde Coast and Lakeland Hills.

The centre occupies an area of 47 acres of rolling meadowland bounded by woodland and the River Calder offering visitors magnificent views of Pendle and the surrounding countryside. Easily reached by road with rail links to the nearby towns of Blackburn and Accrington.

Established over 35 years ago as a training base for members of the Scout and Guide movements, it has provided specialist outdoor skills training to hundreds of young people and adult leaders.

Bowley Scout Camp and Activity Centre does not confine its facilities to those within the Scout movement but acts as a host to schools and colleges using it as a venue for weekday and weekend courses. These offer a challenging outdoor experience stretching young people's minds by combining healthy pursuits with character building and an appreciation of teamwork.

Boyd Memorial Campsite and Activity Centre is situated in 12 acres of grounds in the village of Henlow in Bedfordshire offering plenty of space and facilities for camping and activities for your group.

To make your life as easy and safe as possible we have a large enclosed car park, a collection of carts for moving your equipment on and off site, water taps located at points around the site and (only if pre-arranged) we can move large qty’s of equipment via trailer.

You can choose from one of our twelve camping areas which are located throughout our grounds, most of which have easy access to the toilet and showering facilities (separate male and female) and we also have a large hall with a kitchen for use as a food hall or during events, hikes or wet weather.

The site consists of 9 acres of grassland, 2 acres of woodland and has the rest set aside for activities including kayaking, archery, rafting and fishing amongst others.

Braggers Wood is a small to medium woodland site with a traditional scouting feel yet with many modern facilities. Set within the New Forest National Park and within a few miles from the sea, there are many places to visit including the iconic Brownsea Island just 15 miles and a boat ride away. We can offer Archery, Air rifle shooting, Tomahawks and Bouldering which are run by voluntary, qualified members of staff.

Bramhope Scout Campsite is situated some 8 Miles NNW of Leeds, and half a mile West of Bramhope Village. The campsite has thirteen and a half acres of ground surrounded by trees of many descriptions, with areas suitable for District, Troop and Patrol camping. There are several buildings which provide accommodation, facilities for indoor activities and field studies. Mains water available throughout the campsite, and there is a substantial toilet block.

Broadstone Warren is situated in the Ashdown Forest in the North of Sussex, midway between the South Coast and London.

The site which is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is almost 400 acres of mixed woodland, with a variety of individual areas for camping, and a number of buildings that are used for indoor accommodation, courses or meetings. The site has a vast number of activities.

The site is open to all Scouts, Guides, other youth groups, schools and commercial organisations from all over the UK and abroad and is open all year round. The site is not open to the public.

Butchers Coppice is a 7½ acre campsite situated in the north west corner of Bournemouth, close to Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, the Isle of Purbeck and the New Forest. We are also the closest Scout campsite to Brownsea Island, the birthplace of Scouting. The campsite is easily accessible by road, rail or air.

The campsite has three indoor accommodation centres; the Dad Atkins Centre sleeps 42, the Jubilee Centre sleeps 30 and the Explorer Centre sleeps 20. The Dad Atkins Centre and Jubilee Centre have fully equipped kitchens, toilets, hot showers and central heating. The Explorer Centre has a fully equipped kitchen, toilet, electric heating and is situated across from the toilet and shower block.

For campers we offer a choice of sites, either on the main field or in a variety of individual copse sites.

Cae Llwyd is situated 4 miles southwest of Wrexham and at an altitude of 300 metres.

It is a greenfield site adjacent to a reservoir and adjoins the open moorland of Ruabon Mountain. It is ideal for back to basics camping, wilderness camps and as an overnight stop for D of E expeditions.

Cae Llwyd has the following facilities:

Chigwell Row Campsite is situated in the village of Chigwell Row, close to the A12 and on the border of Hainault Forest and Country Park. It is ideally situated for trips to central London, as well as days out in Essex.

The site occupies an area of 56 acres of grassland, providing a safe and spacious place for on-site activities.

All of our campsites can be equipped or unequipped, and have solid shelter and flush toilets. There is a central shower block, payphone, fridge/freezer and mobile phone charging points. We also have a shop selling sweets & souvenirs, chapel, camp fire circle, backwoods fire lighting area with wet-weather shelter, craft hut and games field area available to all campsite visitors.

The site has a resident full time warden and is open all year round. It is suitable for any member of the Guide or Scout associations as well as other organised groups.

The many on-site activities make the site a suitable base for weekend or week stays, as well as day and evening visits.

We also have sites suitable for Duke of Edinburgh's award, Queen's Guide Enterprise, Patrol Camp permits, etc. Please ask for details.

Condovers is an established site, situated in a quiet location to the east of Thurrock. It is about 5 miles away from the M25, the Dartford Crossing and Lakeside shopping centre. We are also about 2.5 miles from Coalhouse Fort (featured on Most Haunted and scenes shot for Batman Begins) and 3 miles from Tilbury Fort. There is a local bus service that passes the entrance gate and London is only half an hour away from Tilbury or Grays railway station or visit Southend-On-Sea’s famous pier.

The site is about 3.5 acres in size, has pack holiday facilities, as well as gents & ladies toilets and shower blocks, and plenty of space for camping.

Crai Activity Park is situated in the former mining town of Newbridge in the South East Wales valleys which is famous for its picturesque views, and of course male voice choirs! It is also home to Newbridge Memorial Hall which featured on the BBC programme ‘Restoration’.

Set in approximately seven acres of open countryside which looks over the Cilonydd mountain the Park is an ideal site for campers who wish to do their own thing, or go out and about visiting local attractions such as Big Pit National Coal Museum, Cwmcarn Forest Drive and Llancaiach Fawr Manor House. A fifteen minute walk or a three minute car journey will take you into the centre of Newbridge which hosts a number of shops including a newsagents, chemist and a small supermarket.
