Fanwood is a 10 acre site composed of areas of traditional grassland and woodland. The site is owned by Spen Valley District Scouts and is located in such a place as to give peace and tranquillity to its residents whilst being located within 30 minutes travel from Leeds, Bradford, and Wakefield. A little further away are the attractions of Manchester, York and Sheffield.

The site offers safe, comfortable and secure camping for up to 400 campers.

The campsite holds its traditional values of having well stocked woodpiles and great natural assets but also has all the latest "Mod-cons" one would expect from a modern facility - such as set campfire places, showers, toilets, a campfire circle, convenient water points and friendly helpful staff. At the heart of the site is the Pinder Chapel, A facility open to ALL groups and parties for a time of quiet reflection, worship or as a meeting point.

Over recent years the campsite has been transformed into a active and bustling activity centre, offering groups instructor lead sessions on a multitude of exciting activities.

Felden Lodge Conference and Training Centre is home to The Boys' Brigade National United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland Headquarters. The house is also utilised by health & local authorities, churches, charities, schools, local community groups, youth organisations and private groups. Set in 32 acres of beautiful grounds, the excellent road and rail links close by ensures that our venue is the right choice for you, whether visiting the area for business or pleasure.

Felden Lodge features 27 ensuite bedrooms, a newly refurbished relaxing lounge area and conservatory style dining room leading onto a decking area overlooking our grounds. Felden Lodge also has its own self catering accommodation centre, perfect for youth and community groups. Our Sports Hall, Games Room and Croquet Lawn also provides some activity for our more active guests. There is complimentary parking and wireless internet throughout.

A range of conferencing facilities are available, with a choice of styles and size of rooms accommodating from 2 to 70 delegates. The diverse array of events held at Felden Lodge include meetings, seminars, networking events, team building days, and exclusive private dinners and lunches.

This large wooded camp can accommodate over 1000 in a range of sites from large open fields to small clearings. The toilet blocks have hot water and showers, and are equipped with special needs facilities.

There are two buildings that can be hired, each sleeps 24 residents in a combination of room sizes. The 'George Begg' building is recently refurbished and boasts central heating and an excellently equipped stainless steel kitchen with commercial appliances, large fridge and freezer. The 'Lakeview' building has heating throughout, the kitchen has a selection of appliances and is better suited to more reserved catering demands. 'Lakeview' will undergo a massive refurbishment in late 2012. Both kitchens have crockery and cutlery provided for 50 people.

Activities available include kayaking, rafting, climbing tower, traversing wall, archery, pioneering, orienteering, a small adventure play area (up to 10yrs) and a larger 'Low Ropes' course for those from 10yrs until 110 yrs, pedal powered go-karting and a nature trail.

Foundry Adventure Centre is a dedicated outdoor base with 2 independent self- catering units with 21 and 31 beds, or a single unit for up to 52. Additional camping is available on site.

The Foundry Adventure Centre offers an ideal base for group visits to the Peak District. Located in the village of Great Hucklow, we are close to the Hope Valley and the best of the Peak's walking, climbing, caving and mountain biking. Hinckley District Scouts’ Campsite at Fox Coverts has provided camping opportunities for young people since 1956. We are located between the villages of Kirkby Mallory and Newbold Verdon In Leicestershire. Covering nearly 16 acres of woodland there are campsite areas to suit both group camps and patrol camps. Foxlease is set in 65 acres of beautiful land near Lyndhurst in Hampshire. The centre is in the heart of the New Forest with easy access via road, rail and air.

The site at Foxlease includes full-board accommodation in Princess Mary House, camping and a range of self-catering accommodation. There are also conference facilities, a swimming pool and a range of equipment suitable for use in outdoor activities and events.

Frylands Wood focuses on the outdoor elements of the Scout Programme, managed in a way which encourages and enables as many young people as possible to enjoy and experience the benefits of outdoor Scouting. The Peter Watson Scout Camp is located on the western edge of the Peak District National Park, nestled in the upper reaches of the Dane Valley, on the borders of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. The campsite is located close to both Buxton and Leek, but because of the nature of the Peak District countryside it appears to be in a world of its own!

The campsite is ideally situated for most Peak District activities including climbing, walking and caving and is a much used stopover point for Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, as well as longer troop or patrol camps.

Holwell Pastures is a very quiet 3½ camp site set in beautiful open countryside in rural Leicestershire but only 2½ miles from the market town of Melton Mowbray. A very large new centrally heated sleepover building, opened in April 2019, has 32 bunk beds and two separate twin leader bedrooms, two large meeting rooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a suite of showers and toilets. A separate building with a meeting room and kitchen is also available. On site activities include a self-belay climbing tower, archery and indoor shooting range. Set in the North Downs Hopehill is an ideal base for hiking. Our woods offer safe surroundings for a variety of environmental projects. We have a multitude of

wildlife & wild flowers: we have badger setts and fox holes, rabbits and many types of birds, plus we know where the door mice live! In spring we have Bluebells and if you look carefully, hidden away, Early Purple Orchids!

We do not try to rival the large activity centres but offer a growing range of

traditional and modern facilities. Owned by Gravesham District Scout Association, Hopehill is open to Youth Groups, Schools, Clubs & Societies year-round. Run by

volunteers, friendly wardens are on site at weekends and through the week in the main camping season.

Suitably qualified volunteers also provide the activities and users are asked to respect their commitment. Visitors should be responsible for their own events and are expected to leave the premises in the condition they found it.

Hunter's Greave Activity Centre is situated in the Kirkstall Valley just 4 miles from the centre of Leeds.
The sheltered camping area includes firebases, woodpile, incinerator, campfire circle, standpipe water, flush toilets, washbasins and a car park.
For those requiring indoor accommodation there is a site building with a carpeted floor, tables and chairs, a separate kitchen and sink, cold running water, calor gas cooking, electric water boiler, fridge and storage cupboards. All rooms and toilet have electric lighting and 13 amp sockets.
In the stores are pioneering poles, fire grids, rubber tyres, heavy duty rope and picnic tables all available at no extra cost.

Johns’ Lee Wood Campsite covers 33 acres of woodland within the National Forest Area. There are 24 clearings in the woodland for camping pitches & these vary in size from patrol to group camp. There are 3 cabins one which has 30 bunk beds ( The Alan Guttering Cabin), one which has 10 bunk beds and room in the hall for up to 30 more camp beds (The Harry Walker Cabin) and The Collier Hut which sleeps 12 on bunk beds and 2 in a leaders room off the kitchen. There are also 2 log shelters for outside sleeping which can sleep 6 in each. There is also a large toilet block with showers. Onsite activities include Archery, Orienteering, Climbing, Air Rifle Shooting, Caving Experience and a Rubber Band Alley.

Developed from a working dairy farm, Linnet Clough is an all year round Scout activity centre and camp site with facilities for a multitude of outdoor activities.

We are situated on the Derbyshire and Cheshire border, close to the towns of Marple and Stockport. Manchester is 12 miles away with a direct train service from Marple.

We are also lucky to be on the edge of the Peak District National Park which makes us the perfect base for hiking, mountain biking and climbing, or as an overnight camp or base for expeditions.

At Linnet Clough we have 40 acres of grassland for camping. The camping fields are surrounded on three sides by woods and small ravines, and plantations of trees provide shelter and windbreaks for the camp sites.

Our campsite is suitable for groups and events of all sizes. We also have indoor accommodation to suit large or small groups and a complex suitable for residential training courses or conference sessions.

We have a resident manager who is supported by a voluntary service crew and field warden team.

Littledale Scout Activity Centre is situated south of the village of Brookhouse and is eight miles from Lancaster and the site is only eleven miles from Morecambe Bay. It is set in the Forest of Bowland, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Littledale is ideal for most Scouting and Guiding pursuits and for DoE expeditions.

The campsite is set in fourteen acres of pleasantly wooded valley, bounded on the west side by Artle Beck.

To the South of the site are the moorland fells of the Forest of Bowland and to the North you may go down to the Lune Valley and the River Lune.

The Campsite is suitable for all types of Camping.

The Beck is not suitable for Canoeing but canoeing is available on the River Lune.

Longcraig is a water activities centre based at South Queensferry (near Edinburgh), Scotland. Each year it enables over 2000 young people from all over the world to experience the thrill and sense of adventure that sailing, kayaking and power boating can offer through two hour taster sessions.

Lorne is a 21-acre estate in Northern Ireland with a house and grounds that provide excellent facilities for all kinds of guiding activities.

It's an ideal location whether you want to stay on site, explore local places of interest or enjoy the scenic beauty of Ulster. The seaside resort of Bangor is just five miles away and Belfast is only eight miles away.

Built in Scottish-baronial style in 1875 by Henry Campbell, Lorne takes its name from the hereditary home of the Campbell Clan in Scotland. In 1946 Ulster Guides purchased the house, which was officially opened by Her Grace The Duchess of Abercorn in 1947.

Lorne has a great range of both instructor and self-led outdoor activities. Activities available on-site include archery, abseiling, river running, bungee trampoline, high-ropes cube course, crate challenge and many more. There are activities suitable for all ages and abilities and we have facilities such as the Rainbow log cabin, which is full of indoor toys and educational equipment and has an outdoor play area. There are also a number of indoor activities available for use.

Wheelchair users are able to take part in archery, and members with a visual impairment can take part in parachute games, giant board games, croquet and grass skiing.
