Here at LSAC we try to offer a memorable experience to our guest, whether it is to Scouts, Guides or work parties. We look to offer a traditional service, with activities such as fire lighting, pioneering, woodcraft and lots more. We also offer more adventurous activities such as archery, shooting and coming soon, our new caving system.

We have some great facilities on site to allow for an easier camping experience. Some of our onsite facilities include 16a power connections, toilets, hot showers and running water.

One key advantage of our location in Bedford is that you are close to two large towns, Milton Keynes and Bedford. These towns host a great choice of activities and amenities. There are many offsite ‘must-dos’ to take advantage of.

The campsite at Oaks in Charnwood is based in the Charnwood District of Leicestershire. It is a large field campsite with plenty of camping space. It also has The Clarke Hut which has a main hall with tables and chairs for up to 50 people A kitchen which is fitted with stainless steel surfaces and shelves, a six ring gas cooker with large oven, hot cupboard, fridge, freezer and instant hot water boiler for drinks. Two bunk rooms – sleeping 8 and 4 persons. Toilets consisting of a combined washroom (3 toilets, 4 washbasins) and a separate room with a toilet and washbasin. The recommended sleeping capacities for the main hall are 30 (24 for Brownies), we have 24 camp beds available on request. There is also the Alpine Hut which has a kitchen facility. Onsite activities include Air Rifle Range, Archery, Bouldering Wall, Campfire Circle, Climbing and Abseiling, Grass Sledges, Internet Bus, Jungle Trail, Mountainboarding, Orienteering and the Black Hole. There is also a Tuck Shop and Open Air Chapel.

Milton Keynes District Scout Council welcomes you to its campsite. The site is ideally suited to patrol and group camping, incorporating large and small fields using the natural geographical features.

The site is available for use by Scouts, Guides, schools and other youth organisations.

We cater for all types of training or special Activity days. Cosgrove is situated just outside the boundary of Milton Keynes and is surrounded by countryside, with plenty of local walks. The Grand Union Canal is just 15 minutes walk away through the village.

The Scouts of Milton Keynes are proud of their site and a warm welcome is extended to visitors who wish to come and see for themselves.

The Sir John Lowther County Scout Activity Centre has been purpose built for residential and non residential activities and training for both adults and young people.

The Centre is owned and run by Northamptonshire County Scouts and is used as their Leader Training base and as the County Headquarters.

Close to the market town of Kettering, the centre is located within its own 10 acre woodland with an adjoining conservation area of meadows, woodland and fields.

The Centre caters for both indoor and outdoor activities.

Accommodation is available both indoor and with the provision of camping areas.

We are situated amongst the rolling farm land of the beautiful Isle of Man. Nestling close to the base of North Barrule and only five minutes from the secluded beach at Port e Vullen the centre is perfectly situated to provide an ideal venue for groups of all ages.

The Willow Tree Centre is a multipurpose outdoor centre set in 15 acres of private grounds in an attractive rural setting, bordered by woodland and within easy access of London. The varied facilities also feature superb access for those with physical disabilities.

Opened in 2000 by HRH Princess Margaret, the Centre is a popular location for Guide groups and other youth organisations including Scouts, Police Cadets, Girls Brigade and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions wanting to take advantage of the three large, fully equipped campsites and local schools looking to expand their classroom activities into the great outdoors.

There are a wide range of activities available including an assault course, low level challenge course, archery, night line and horizontal climbing wall as well as a number of outdoor activities and sports.

Each of our campsites include separate wash-room blocks with showers and disabled facilities and each site has its own wet weather barn shelter, wood shelter, water tap, fire place and BBQ.

Bordering Ruislip Woods, an ancient woodland covering over 700 acres, the Willow Tree Centre has space to accommodate over 1,000 visitors and offers you an ideal and safe opportunity to explore nature within easy reach of London.

Situated about a mile from the historic village of Cuffley, Tolmers comprises some 100 acres, with about 70 acres of pasture broken up with tree plantations. The remaining 30 acres are woodland and this layout, together with a water activity lake in the heart of the site makes Tolmers a complete camping base for a day, weekend or a week. Ealing & Hanwell is very fortunate to have our own District campsite in Buckinghamshire. The Walter Davies Activity Centre is located in the village of Stoke Poges, approximately 15 minutes from the M25 and M40, and 30 minutes from our District.

It is set in 13 acres, there are 2 large open grass fields and about 4 acres of natural woodland, ideal for backwoods camping, wide games etc. The site also has a central toilet block with washing facilities and showers and two buildings available for hire; The Lair, which has a fully equipped kitchen, toilets (including a disabled toilet) and fairly large hall; and Murphy’s Mansions, cabins donated from the London2012 site with bunks for 16 as well as kitchen and bathroom facilities.

We are constantly developing our site through the hard work of our campsite team and look forward to your visit.

Walton Firs Activity Centre is a delightful 28 acre site and is open to ALL youth groups.

Based only 40 minutes to the Centre of London and 60 minutes to Historic Portsmouth on the south coast, Walton Firs provides the ideal site as a base for your camp. We are set in 28 acres of mixed open land and woodland so, even with easy access from the M25, M3 and M4 you will still experience the peace of rural Surrey.

Within our 28 acre site we offer both camping and indoor accommodation. Across 16 individual sites we are able to accommodate over 1,500 campers. Our buildings will cater for a further 86. One of the three buildings is set up as a training building with all the facilities expected to run meetings, training and small conferences.

Along with local attractions such as Chessington World of Adventure, Thorpe Park, London and the South Coast, we are also able to offer horse riding, flying and canoeing off-site. Our on-site activities include climbing, crate stack, archery and caving. Please ask, or check out our website, to see a full list of activities that are available.

Set in a beautiful 8 acre woodland site, on the edge of the Peak District, the Outdoor Activities Centre at Whiteley Woods is owned and run by Girlguiding Sheffield.  There are two recently refurbished residential buildings with 24 and 30 beds, up to date kitchen facilities (including dishwashers) and spacious activity rooms. Being all on one level, the Renwick building is suitable for those with disabilities.

We also have four excellent camping grounds; all with solidly built wet weather shelters (one having electricity) and within easy reach of well maintained shower and toilet facilities. There is also a large camp fire circle, well stocked wood pile, shop for souvenirs, sweets etc. and a camp kitchen/meeting room.

Onsite activities include archery, canoeing, tree climbing, ample space for wide games, backwoods cooking and pioneering, as well as a good number of offsite activities which can be booked through our resident warden.

The site is ideally situated for those wanting either a city style break, being only a few miles from Sheffield city centre and all it has to offer, or an escape to the country with country walks, hikes, weaseling, rock climbing and orienteering all available nearby

The site is available throughout the whole week to members of Girl Guiding, Scouting, and other youth groups, as well as school groups and business users for mid week bookings.

Willesley Campsite is located 1 mile south west of Ashby de La Zouch, Leicestershire. It occupies 14 acres. The site has open fields, patrol areas, a coniferous wood and its own church. Yr Hen Felin Or The Old Mill for those who don’t speak too much Welsh, is the activity and mountain centre owned by Northampton District Scouts. Our centre is just outside the Snowdonia National park in North Wales within the landscape of the Berwyn Mountain range.

The Centre has been designed to accommodate a party of thirty, and comprises five bunk rooms, a lounge area, fully fitted catering style kitchen and dining facilities for over thirty, garden area, and toilet and shower facilities. There is a camping area to the rear of the property, which is suitable for group use over several days or for single nights during expeditions or as a base for expedition training events. The campsite has toilet and shower facilities. A drying room is also available for use by guests.
